Have you ever dreamt of being in space? Our team created this Virtual Reality experience to give you the opportunity to do just that. We used an integration of Maya, Unity, Substance Painter, and Sketch to create an interactive experience which takes you through the depths of space, while giving you the mission to save other planets by delivering resources to them. You use a manual round controller to direct the space ship while controlling other features with toggles, levers, and buttons.

USER PERSONAS

In order to better understand what we really want out of the application we are designing, we started out by exploring the crowd that would be using SpaceMail in general, and creating user personas.

Just like in any other brand audit, these user personas explore the personal and professional details of the users, as well as demographics and psychographics. We wanted to create variety within the personas to cover different possible user qualities.

Because SpaceMail is an interactive gaming application, we chose to explore a gamer and non-gamer user persona. Once we had narrowed down all of the details, we explored why the specific users, Chris and Laura in this case, may be interested in exploring SpaceMail. We talk about motivators, and overall incentives on using this application in order to understand why people with different backgrounds may be driven to SpaceMail.
